★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on the Brazilian Rodizio concept, the food in this restaurant is NOT authentic. The Brazilian prime cut, called Picanha, was flavorless and bland. Asking 3(!) times to add more salt to it, I was then served a salty and dry cut that was rubbery and chewy in texture. Reason: they use common table salt instead of the coarse grain salt that is used in Brazil. The table salt penetrates the meat rather than enclosing it to built a sealing crust to keep the juices in. Once the table salt penetrates the meat, the juices will escape and what is left is a dry, rubbery over-salted piece of meat. Other meat served was similarly flavorless.
I asked if any Brazilian employee would be present, but there are no Brazilians working at this place. I have been traveling to Brazil over 18 times during the past 12 years and have been eating in countless Churrascarias, but this place here was my worst experience so far. --> 2 stars. What makes this place 1 star is the boldness to add 15% service to our bill, despite my lengthy feedback on their quality. I had to insist getting this fee removed. Their response was, to simply ignore our request for the bill for over 15+min(!!). Getting up from the table to indicate that we are leaving "helped" to get the bill served. Worth to mention is their aggressive attempt to sell either wine or cocktails at the table. Over 4 attempts later, the last employee "asking" us to buy a wine rolled her eyes (!) once we made clear that we are sticking to water only. Terrible place :(.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very mediocre, borderline rude staff, super expensive for bad quality meat and very limited portions. They let you wait without serving so you feel uncomfortable and leave. we had to wait 30 mins for the lamb to come around and when it came it was nothing left, the guy barely scratching the bone!! I have had much more food for less at Fogo de Chaõ in United States! Not nice! we were three of us and spent $200 for portion of one person, 4 beers was all we had. They mention guacamole as part of the food and of course at the end its a $10 charge! Definitely a rip off. There are far better and cheaper places in Playa Del Carmen! I could keep writing how bad this place is but in two words stay away!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 660 for buffet, water at 40peso, 15% tip included without even asking. I guess thats the way it works around the tourist flowing areas… too many easy targets no loyalty or repeat customers expected. Putting numbers for reference to others to take an informed decision

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warning ⚠️...no prices are listed for a reason. This is the most expensive place we've ate in playa del Carmen! The breakfast buffet is very limited but good food. Staff aren't very nice or helpful. $35 US for breakfast food is more than any other Country we've been. Save your money!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had lunch there yesterday. All of the meat was dry and seemed to be left over from the night before. We even stopped the meat from coming and just ate salad. They automatically add their own tip to the bill. The service was good, but not worth the money we paid to eat salad. We wouldn’t recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst $60 spent. I don't normally leave negative reviews and I try to be understanding especially in foreign countries.
To begin with, the so called premium option is the greatest scam on earth. I was told there would be lobsters right at the beginning hence why I agreed with the option. Turns out all they had was burned chewy octopus and tasteless shrimps.
I am a very fan of Brazilian steak houses, was really excited to eat again in Mexico since Seattle where I live has great options. I'm surprised that the meat was not fresh, at least the first batch is very clear from day old. Being a premium restaurant in town, this is disappointing.
Finally, the server requested me to pay cash. I'm not sure if customers, especially given its in a very American geared spot carry bunch of a cash with them. When I said I wanted to pay with card, their credit card machines wouldn't not work on both my visa and amex cards which has never failed anywhere on earth including multiple spots in the same city.
Just plain unbelievable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent meat, medium rare served, so-so buffet and good wine/service.
The place offers the typical all you can eat meat solution.
If you like food meat, you’ll definitely love that place since it offers everything you need.
In comparison with the price, it’s a fair deal and worth the money.
If you come a bit earlier, just get yourself their offer of a free Capirinha.
The staff is nice and helpful as well and even brought more meat on request.
Definitely recommended.
