★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Isabel! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She is accommodating should you have food allergies or other preferences. She has a lovely kitchen space, and it was very clean. Visiting the local market was a great experience as we learned about a variety of dried chile peppers and spices that are incorporated in mole and other dishes. Our Mexican cooking skills were enhanced as we learned how to make delicious cactus salad, several salsas, and mole. We also made homemade tortillas, which inspired us to buy our own tortilla press. The dishes were all outstanding. We especially loved the chicken mole! Looking forward to recreating these recipes at home to share with friends and family. If you love to cook and want to expand your skills in Mexican cuisine, you will not be disappointed!
Thank you also to Emily for helping coordinate the class. Excellent communication and clear directions!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Playa del Carmen for 4 days and Isa’s cooking class was by far the best experience of the trip. Not only was the cooking class amazing (we made tacos al pastor) but she takes you to a local market that had the freshest ingredients. The cherry on top was when we asked Isa for food recommendations near Playa and Tulum and every suggestion hit!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last week, my husband, son and his girlfriend had a fantastic experience shopping, cooking and eating with chef Pavel at Issa's school. We selected chicken with mole sauce as our cooking task. For three hours, we enjoyed snacking on freshly prepared guacamoles (including a sensational one with pomegranate seeds), cactus salad and fresh hibiscus tea while cutting and prepping all of our dishes. The last dish, our chicken with mole sauce, was so delicious. We even took leftover sauce back to our condo where we reheated it a day later with some eggs! More deliciousness. This is a really fun, learning activity for a small group. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fun and inspirational experience with Chef Isa during our trip to Cancun this December 2019 - it was a pleasure to meet her, she was very friendly, kind, patient and very knowledgeable of the local cuisine. We really enjoyed shopping at the local market, picking up fresh ingredients for our dishes we cooked together. Isa showed us how to make several items, and the fish was amazing! Highly recommend this class, thank you so much for taking the time to spend with us that day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Isa was a lovely host for our cooking class. Our family of 4, including my father and sister who never cook, took the class with us, and the class was capped at 8 people. There were tasks for everyone to do, even those with minimal cooking interest and experience. You were able to participate as much or as little as you want. The food we made was delicious and I loved the addition of pomegranate to the guacamole. Chef Isa gave us a wonderful tour of the local market and explained the various types of chili peppers native to Mexico. I can't wait to make some of these dishes for friends back in the US. ¡Gracias!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very good experience at Isa's cooking school. We were inspired to buy tortilla presses right away when we saw how easy it was to make delicious blue corn tortillas. Our main dish was chicken tinga: a classic. Isa told us about the history of food culture in Mexico and regional variations. I have Celiac so very happy to learn almost all is naturally gluten free!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister and I took Isa's cooking class last week and had a really great experience. The dishes we made together were by far the best Mexican food we ate during our trip to Mexico. We can't wait to try the recipes again. Isa gave us lots of great advice and made sure we had a really good time. This cooking class is definitely a must for any trip to Mexico and highly recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mom and I attended Isa's cooking class. Her husband who is a chef also was our teacher for the class. Pabel (not sure if I spelled that correctly) met us at the gate and took us to the DAC market to pick up our ingredients and share knowledge about the items we were buying. (which those are included in the cost) We chose Tikin xic fish to prepare, we made a marinade for it, 2 different types of guacamole, pico, a green salsa, homemade tortillas and a fresh cactus salad. Everything was explained well, we participated in the prep. Learned different techniques, even though we are both pretty good cooks. This was such a fun thing to do and can't recommend it enough.
