Great place. Boat ride is very calming. The water wasnt very clean thi. The market place along the lake is great and you should totally try the piña colada on the small island

Getting to the Island is exciting you have to arrange transportation at the shore of the lake you will see the docks and the men who are eager to help so it will be easy, once there they will arrange your drop off and pic up time. Then your in a tiny boat in a massive lake, its so massive you actually can't see the shore on the other side. The island is small, but plenty shaded. Its main walkway has a small chaple, the inside not sparing any detail. You might run into a man, who for a few pesos will catch a scorpion and let you hold it. Also off to the side if you follow this trail it will lead you to this super cool super creepy hut on top of a stone hill that over sees the lake, inside the hut there are candles and relics you totally pic up a vibe, but back on the main walkway, there are 2 or 3 restaurants on the island the food is amazing, seafood, local dishes and your classics rice and beans. Beer or hard liquor it's your choice. The islands is a haunt for trio's and norteno musicians it wont be to expensive to enjoy good food, live music while you drink a margarita under the shade of big gorgeous tress.

The ? ride to it is awesome and the scorpions that have no poison but it looks like someone is using the Island to do Magic on the far end so watch out and stay away from them

I liked the trip on boat, the fried fish I order was fresh and the drink as well, the only thing l don't liked is the restrooms they far from been acceptable!
