Los monos sr observan desde las lanchas donde se hacen los recorridos. Sugiero hacer el recorrido saliendo desde Nanciyaga, que se encuentra justo enfrente de estás islas. El costo será de 80-100 pesos por persona e incluirá el regreso a Catemaco. Desde Nanciyaga acércate a un lanchero y pregúntale cuánto te cobra por llevarte a Catemaco y ya que te diga precio pregunta si va directo, lo más seguro es que no y entonces te toque visitar la isla de los monos por ese mismo precio. Si tomas el tour desde Catemaco te van a querer cobrar el triple. There are two islands with monkeys, one with Macacos and another with little monkeys. Realmente no creo que tengan biólogos cuidando de ellos y de su alimentación (la isla no les provee de alimento, no tiene árboles frutales). Se alimentan de lo que los turistas les avientan (en general galletas). La pagina oficial de turismo de Veracruz promueve su visita pero no creo que hagan algo por ellos. El tour solo vale la pena solo por el paseo en la laguna. It only made me sad, first it is not their habitat, they were put there, now forgotten. The monkeys are obese and in very poor condition. La visita es en lancha y la gente del lugar explicar muy bien en el recorrido. Un lugar que como mexicano debemos de conocer.
