★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una joya histórica un poco olvidada. Demasiado valiosa para las condiciones en las que está. No hay guías. Sólo las guías escritas te dan conocimiento de que pasó ahí, pero con información muy general.
It is a historical gem a little forgotten. Too valuable for the conditions it is in. There are no guides. Only the written guides give you knowledge of what happened there, but with very general information.

P.d: lleven repelente de insectos. Y abrigados ya q el recorrido es un poco frío

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un excelente paseo para toda la familia. Llega uno a Mezcala en la ribera del lago, que es en sí una comunidad interesante, nunca conquistada, como Itxicán,otra comunidad indígena.
De allí se embarca uno en lanchas con toldo para 10 pasajeros. Cruzar toma 10 minutos y ya en la isla hay muchas ruinas que visitar.
El Fuerte y la capilla en muy buen estado de conservación, otras muy derruidas, pero todas con vistas privilegiadas de la laguna.
An excellent walk for the whole family. One comes to Mezcala on the shore of the lake, which is itself an interesting community, never conquered, like Itxicán, another indigenous community.
From there one embarks on boats with a 10-passenger awning. Crossing takes 10 minutes and already on the island there are many ruins to visit.
The Fort and the chapel in very good condition, others very dilapidated, but all with privileged views of the lagoon.
