ITAMAE (CASUAL AND ORIGINAL SUSHI) - 97783 Valladolid

Maybe we should've had sushi, but we chose a couple of plates that were an uninspired mess. The chicken pieces were a bit dry. Dessert was mediocre as well. Pleasant service.

I didn't expect to like this place as much as I did. It's a pseudo Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant located about a five minute walk from the main square. I ordered the Arrachera Ramen and Spicy Tuna roll. I really enjoyed the Ramen. Normally ramen broth is too salty to drink, but I completely finished this bowl. The Arrachera was a great touch as the way it was charcoaled really added to the soup flavor. The spicy tuna roll was completely fine for Mexico, not amazing, but better than most sushi places. My advice as always with sushi in Mexico is to not order anything with cream cheese. If you're craving Japanese or Asian food in Valladolid, you really can't go wrong with this place.

Great atmosphere, fantastic food, and nice service. It was some of the best sushi that I've had in Mexico. The menu has a lot to choose from so eat up!

Came here on a whim and was not disappointed. Generous cuts of fish and exceptional service from Areni - my server. Will definitely stop by next time I’m in Valladolid!

The sushi was very good. We loved the spicy tuna. Also the staff was amazing. Wilbert and Omar were very professional and helpful. Must visit when in Valladolid.

The place is nice, service ok, prices ok, but they have a soup called, Souzi, which is Chichen, Shrimp, mushrooms, but they put 1 SHRIMP? are you kidding me? Simply dint put it has Shrimp. UPDATE They did "Solve" the issue by adding 1 more Shrimp to the soup, effort is always appreciated but is more when comes from them, not when you ask for the solution. However somehow that affects the overall experience, I did also try a roll and was ok.

Absolutely amazing. We were craving non Mexican food and this is place hit the spot. Had the gyoza to start - excellent. Salmon rice bowl and 2 fried sushi rolls. Amazing sushi and not a Japanese person in sight! Place was a bit quiet so hopefully people start reading the reviews and visiting. White Wine on sweet side but cocktails amazing

Found this restaurant by accident but it was so good that I had to review it. Ordered fried gyoza and beef ramen. Both were heavenly delicious. You will notice that the chef knows exactly what he is doing. Even though there was his own touch in all ingredients but everything just combined perfectly in some way and still very authentic. Nice atmosphere, friendly and fast service.
