 A place full of culture, with very interesting events that give artists the opportunity to make themselves known, during the year several exhibitions are held and they have extraordinary dance, singing, music teachers forming new groups and artists from the state of Veracruz.

Creado en 1987, el Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura ivec se encarga de difundir y preservar el patrimonio cultural del estado veracruzano así como apoyar en la creación artística.
Ubicado en el edificio que fue el antiguo convento de betlehemitas en la zona céntrica de Veracruz, el ivec apuesta por una visión plural donde se integren identidad y diversidad cultural para abrir el diálogo en la sociedad.
El acceso es libre, aunque no hay que olvidar el uso de cubrebocas y el punto de ingreso con el vigilante que corrobora el acceso a las personas.
Cultural venue that offers different exhibitions and artistic activities for people of all ages, from the youngest to the adults.
Created in 1987, the Veracruz Institute of Culture ivec is responsible for disseminating and preserving the cultural heritage of the state of Veracruz as well as supporting artistic creation.
Located in the building that was the old Betlehemite convent in the central area of Veracruz, the ivec is committed to a plural vision where identity and cultural diversity are integrated to open dialogue in society.
Access is free, although we must not forget the use of face masks and the point of entry with the security guard who corroborates access to people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a hidden gem on my journey around Veracruz.
First off, I was allowed to take pictures with my phone, but was not allowed to take pictures with my pro Nikon.
Second, it's a lovely open space. The church has been repurposed and it's now a great multipurpose facility.
And last, what a treat to find the art exhibit inside! Again, truly a great space for something of this sort.
