This place has ok food. I would suggest they add more options to their menu and their drinks weren't that great. They advertise 2x1 margarita's, but it's a margarita that I could make in my blender at home. The food was ok, but not very flavorful, but you do get a large portion. Also the free chips and salsa was disappointing as the chips tasted stale and the salsa was almost flavorless.

Great spot, it's very often overlooked, but has reasonable prices a great menu and some very authentic Mexican dishes. Service is great and the food is better. Get one block away from the glitze and glamour of expensive Fifth Avenue and practice your Spanish. Provecho!

Good place to try local cuisine. Definitely not expensive but tasty dishes. My recommendation is quesadilla with chorizo and lamb tacos. Four stars are for cash only option for pay and kinda beat-up furniture and tableware

April 2021: *** avoid this place*** The positive: tender taco meats . Negative: the smoke from BBQ was all over my table, I letrally had burning eyes during and after and my clothes and hair smelled like a smoked wood chip for hours after. The duzy is I ordered a drink they didnt have and brought something else convincing me it is what ordered. I said that's not what ordered and I don't like it. They said would like something else, I said yes, give me tamarind. They brought it. But they charged me for both drinks. I told the waiter, he went in and out and said that's the way they want it i don't approve of it ( acting like he is forced to work with this horrible boss). I paid it and left no tip. ***It was probably the waiter adding that extra drink to up his tips, I DON'T CONDONE OR SUPPORT THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR FROM WORKERS OR BOSSES. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.*** YOU CAN SEE HOW MANY REVIEWS I HAVE , SO CLEARLY this IS NOT A FAKE OR SPITEFUL REVIEW***

We tried the octopus and it was good! Decent seefood at a decent price. Service is friendly but they sneakily added tips to my credit card after they showed the amount owed. While i was going to give tips anyway, i found it sneaky. Would have been much better had they just allowed me to pick the tip % myself. Go somewhere else.

I can't stop raving about this place (relative to everything else in Playa del Carmen). I travel to Mexico (Guadalajara, Oaxaca, and Mexico City) about twice a year and this place has the most legit tacos for any place I've been to in PDC. The Pastor here is fantastic. Furniture sucks but I came here for the food, not the chairs.

OMG! Tacos are so crazy good! Real tortillas, real meats, lots of flavor and salsas are spicy yet perfection for a hot day and a cold beer. The staff is super friendly and very polite. They work hard back and forth and smile and work as a team, very happy, second time here so close to HM hotel, will come more and more so far most authentic from what is on the 5th Ave strip.

Best authentic food you can have in Playa del Carmen by far. Highly recommend. Taste the Birria de rez ? meat or the garlic shrimp ?. Thank you Maria-Betzi ?
