Guanajuatense.
Nace el 10 de julio de 1957 en la Lagunilla, Jerécuaro Gto.
Desde pequeño demostró interés por las artes, le gustaba dibujar, hacer tallas en madera y hueso. Más tarde decide estudiar artes plásticas en la academia de San Carlos y posteriormente, arquitectura en la UNAM. Al mismo tiempo, entra a trabajar a un taller de cerámica en Coyoacán, D.F. en el cual descubre su verdadera vocación, por lo que poco tiempo después decide dejar la carrera e iniciar con un pequeño taller en el año de 1981, del cual, a la fecha han surgido seis talleres más, todos ellos de la familia.
Actualmente trabaja en su taller, ubicado en La Purísima, Tarandacuao, Gto. En el cual se producen más de 200 modelos diferentes en cerámica de alta temperatura, además de sus nuevas líneas de porcelana y joyería en plata.
El éxito alcanzado por Javier Servin Cerámica, se debe sin duda, a la originalidad y a la búsqueda constante de innovación, cuidando siempre la calidad en cada una de sus piezas, hechas a mano por artesanos especializados.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a whole set of plates in November 2013. Three boxes arrived in June 2014. The boxes were not properly packed and stopped at the border. There was not ONE fragile or keep this side up sticker on it and a list of 14 different pieces came broken.
I was told they would try and get me the pieces by August. August came and the store I bought them from would not answer my calls. November came and no luck so I contacted the actual Ceramica Servin head quarters and to my surprise they knew about my situation but they would not provide me with the plates unless I paid for them again and paid for the shipping. You cannot pack plates the way they did and pretend like its the customers fault and make them pay twice for a product, but that is what Ceramica Servin intended.
It is January 2015 and now they say they will send me 10 of the 14 pieces no excuse or reason given.
Are they beautiful plates, yes they are, is it worth this hassle when there are beautiful things all over the world you can choose from? NO.
I would not recommend this company, their products, or any of their associates.

She bought her first piece 16 years ago and loves it just as much today. This pottery has a Moroccan touch and is absolutely amazing. It can be a jaw dropping experience if you never seen such intensive handmade work. Anyone who is creative will absolutely love it. Luis was very helpful and informative making the experience more complete. Highly recommended for gifts as well. Not something you see in the states.
