★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We purchased a piece if jewelry, when returning to US discovered the clasps to attach to my ears were BOTH faulty. I took them to a local jewelry store, noticed the price was inflated and I had to pay to repair. Bad deal. Also don't use a credit card, my IP address was expisef costing me tremendous costs to get our accouns repaired. Beware!!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When on a mazatlan city tour & they stopped here where the jeweler said he didnt do high pressure sales bc his opals were top quality...which may be true but prices with our "special discount" was very inflated. I bought this opal stud earrings, they wanted $115 dollars, I got them down to $50 which I bought, thinking I got a good deal. Later at the airport the same earrings exact was $20 so beware of this jeweler! Others on our tour was scammed worse than me. 1 person paid $100 for a ring that sold for $25 at the airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So I came here to buy my mom some earrings for Christmas. They told me the stone was authentic so I purchased them, very expensive but since they were for my mom I did not mind as much as I normally would. After I purchased them I started thinking it was a little too expensive. I did research and they were definitely overpriced. I went to another jewelry store to ask what the price would actually be. Which was HALF of what they charged me. When I went back to the store it was closed. I’m going to try to return them on Monday and will update.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS! They will charge you WAY more than the value of the items once they see you’re a tourist. We got ripped off and it’s leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. The tour guide called Susanna that works with Vista Tours said they could be trusted but it looks like both cannot. Prices at the Mazatlan airport are way cheaper than these rip offs.
