Traditional japanese sushi, way better than the conventional options offered by chain restaurants in the area. The fish is frozen but of good quality and the dishes are well presented with a great emphasis on the fish bringing the best out of it's main ingredient. Unlike other restaurants where the emphasis of the dish may be on a sauce or a cheese. The food here really focuses on what matters most and doesn't disappoint on the protein department. The ambience is beautiful in a modern living room feel, even when outdoors there's this feeling like my friend noted of being at a beach lounge. Beautiful use of wood in decorating and a nice traditional Japanese set up on the tables cutlery. Overall ambience is pretty good. I can't comment on the wine selection as I did not had any alcoholic beverages opting for the delicious traditional matcha tea. But I can say from having glanced at other tables that there are plenty of white wine options available as well as sake. Overall I was satisfied with the place with a strong impression on the quality of the food and good price to quality ratio as I did expect the bill to have been much higher than it was. Leaving my negative remarks at the end as a reason for not leaving a 5 star review I would point out the negative aspects on my visit. The bathroom though not dirty, could've been more cleaned, visible trash was on the floor. Since there's only one bathroom in the restaurant I'd recommend it be cleaned as often as possible, nice touch with the actual towels though. Another negative experience which actually was quite frustrating for me came from the staff which even had my waiter change halfway in the service and completely forgot about an order we had made which had us waiting for our food for about 30 minutes without it being prepped. I noticed this was because 2 adjacent tables were ordering more wine which is where our original waiter moved to. However a lovely attentive lady helped save our service and eventually asked whether we were waiting for something. Finally I recommend the Susuki Sashimi and the delicious maki shake with avocado. 4 out of 5. Very good food and ambience, good price quality ratio. There is room for improvement on the service.

Solid sushi joint - reasonably priced, high quality ingredients, friendly service and authentic flavors. The restaurant has both counter seating (inside) & outdoor tables. Minimalistic setup. All the dishes we’ve tried tasted amazing (including the misoshiru). The nigiris did not need additional soy sauce as they were already well seasoned. Also, it is always a pleasant surprise when the restaurant carries gluten-free tamari soy sauce. - Nigiri: toro, susuki, king shake, wagyu - Temaki: maguro spicy The ingredients were fresh and melted in my mouth. The seasoning was on point and the sushi rice tasty. The only “downside” was that they did not have my favorite tamago nigiri and did not carry that many gluten-free entree options. Overall this is a place that I will definitely visit again to get my sushi fix.

The nigiri was very good! Everything else was kind of a mess. We ordered in Spanish, but got the wrong edamame to start. It was just okay. Then midway through our meal, there was a giant delay in service where we got no food for 20+ min. They acknowledged and offered us a free appetizer of goyza (very nice). However, the gyoza was extremely undercooked - it was still cold inside and had very raw pork. They offered us a tempura veggies instead but at that point we just wanted to leave. When we went to leave they also messed up our bill charging us for a maki roll we both never ordered nor never received. They were nice and apologetic in fixing it but sadly it was just one thing after another.

Amazing omakase for $50 USD. I’ve had sushi all my life and can confidently say the fish was very fresh. We had 9 pieces of sashimi, 7 nigiri, 1 oyster, 1 hand roll, miso soup, and dessert.
