Karen’s Place - 63732 Bucerías

We stopped by for a couple of drinks around lunchtime to take a break from a walk. Good selection of drinks on offer & reasonable prices. Staff friendly & efficient. Stunning location looking out on to the beach & sea. All this is worth 5 stars. Given 4 stars as an overall rating due to the only downside, was this establishment is cash only. If credit cards were accepted we would have been able to spend more, ordering food as well as some more drinks, or planned another return visit one evening for dinner. Our first time to this part of Mexico, cash only bars restaurants seem to be the majority in this area. Hopefully the next time we visit, credit cards will be more accepted in the area.

Celebrated Moms birthday at Karen's restaurant and we had a fantastic time.the service was exceptional. The waitwrs/waitresses were so attentive and on top of thier game it was an absolute pleasure to dine here. The food was perfect. The atmosphere could not have been any better. We arrived early (4:30) therefore it was quiet for the first half of our visit, which allowed us to take our time ordering. We were able to sample a few extra drinks from the bar, all of which were great. We also got to know the staff a little more than if we had come any later. Truly a great bunch of professionals. I had the tortilla soup and the presentation was high class (if you could possibly make a serving of soup high class these guys and gals did.) Everyone in our group had a wonderful meal and we all enjoyed the most delicious chocolate cake (to die for). Thank you to Karen and all her awesome staff. I'm looking forward to another sunset @ Karen's very soon. Thanks for making Moms birthday extra special.

Tasty food is an excellent beach front location. Service was a bit slow in early January but the restaurant empties by 4pm. Everyone seems to order the shrimp or fish tacos and leave nothing. The chile en nogada was good too. My burger was very good. Only complaint was the incessant annoyance from public vendors coming from the beach to sell their wares.

Very good beach location. Tasty food. Good service even when busy. The price of my favorite omelette has gone up by just over 10% since last week though.

Great place for lunch and dinner. Good food/drinks at reasonable prices with helpful staff, especially Karen herself! The beach side location is wonderful, day or night. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Bucerias area.

Oh my goodness!!!!!! Fresh fresh fresh seafood and some very unusual and authentic food offerings. This was MORE than we could eat. I’ll get the relleno next time for sure. The location is ideal, can’t go wrong either inside or beach seating. I love this restaurant. The employees seemed truly proud and happy to be there. I can only assume it’s because the food is so, so, so good and wow! What a beautiful location Gracias, Karen and thank you Mauricio for recommending. The beach is pristine and area totally laid back. I’m so pleased I dined here.

Was staying at Flamingos and decided to walk down the beach to Karen’s for lunch after reading the great reviews. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had drinks, salads and the vegan bowl and everything was excellent. We’ll make another trip down there before we leave.

March 19, 2022 Dinner: this was our first visit for dinner, and our party of 4 enjoyed a wonderful sunset as well as an excellent dinner and service. Lunch at Karen’s; always great quality food and service. Beautiful location on the beach. Lucky to have such a great restaurant in Bucerías.
