They will steal your bike and then charge you $800. Dont rent from them.

Had a truly awful experience at Kelly’s bikes. Rented a bike for 24hours and on my cycle to the beach I noticed the steering was unsteady. Almost immediately the handlebars came off of the bike and I swerved into the hardshoulder, luckily avoiding the oncoming traffic. I fell quite badly injuring my knee, elbows and wrist. I returned to the shop in a taxi with the body of the bike and the parts of the bike that had come off and received the worst customer service I’ve experienced to date. With absolutely no sympathy or apology I was reluctantly given my refund of 100 peso for the bike rental but they accused me of damaging the bike myself. They refused to cover taxi costs saying we should have just called the shop and at the end threatened to call the police on us. On leaving the shop they called at us to call our solicitors. The man we spoke with was the owner of the shop and I would advise to rent bikes from elsewhere to prevent a potentially life threatening situation like this happening again. Over all quite a sad, frustrating and disappointing end to our trip In Tulum. Do not visit Kelly’s Bikes unless you want to be provided with a truly unsafe, unsatisfactory and hazardous service.

I rarely write reviews, but please take this to heart, avoid this place at all costs! Everything people are saying about the rudeness of the owner and lack of basic customer service (recognizing you exist) is 100% accurate. Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to rent from ANY other shop.

We had a good experience renting from them. Paid $30/day in January which was the best deal in town. The scooter was uncomfortable for longer ride than 20 mins though

Everything perfect, fast service. Passport as a deposit and 550 $MXN per day for a good scooter.

Despite all the bad reviews we went and rented a scooter for 3 days, as there were no other free ones in town anymore. We had a positive experience, the only thing was having to deposit our passport. The scooters were not the coziest ones for 2 person, but otherwise all was good.

Don't take bikes here. It's expensive. You can find any place with cheaper price. The wheels were deflated. Gave us one locker and at the end of renting asked for two lockers! Don't give documents until you pay them Never take bikes here!
