★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Updated review 2020/January
It’s still a 5 star place . I waited a year to have those flavours in my mouth again and it lived up to its memory and more . The owner runs a very good ship and is totally hands on and attentive will be an annual stop till I stop

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner (Lori) was acting as host the night i dined here (11/24/20) and made sure i was incredibly well taken care of. The wait staff was attentative, and very friendly. The food was to die for. Finding good Thai food in Mexico isn’t always easy, but these guys knocked it out of the park. I had the Vermacelli Wraps and the Cashew Chicken, and I can recommend both!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ * Advice for the future, as a customer, local or foreigner, please treat everyone with the same dignity.*
After being at the beach, I was debating on pizza or Thai food for dinner. I went to the front counter and asked if I could use the restroom so I did and went back to read the menu. Not sure if it was because I look Mexican and had a ragged backpack on but I wasn’t attended right away. Maybe they just thought I wanted to use the restroom only?
The owner walked past me a few times and the guy at the counter finally attended me and said to take a seat on some benches (their waiting area). He asked if he could get me something to drink and asked for a Chingolina Iced Tea. After about 10+ minutes of waiting and talking to other guests debating on staying cause a line started to form for seating, I was starting to wonder if I should just order to go.
The owner asked who was next or who still needed a table and once he told her I was waiting she apologized and got me a table that had an extra guest their, wasn’t eating just went with the party of 2 that was eating and chatting. A local who worked for one of them.
By that time I already knew what I wanted and ordered right away. Again the owner apologized for the wait and put in my order.
In total I was there for about an hour 1/2.
Being born in the area, having family, being raised in Oregon and coming to live here for a few months; I wanted to give the place a try and get to know what Bucerías has to offer. I decide to deal with appearance situation I encountered. I would think that my perfect English pronunciation would give off some glue that I wasn’t a local. Local or not, no customer should get looked over based on their overall appearance.
I was very pleased with the food. I got a mild yellow chicken curry with rice. Definitely met my expectations of Thai Food. The flavors were impecable. The fresh coconut on top gave it the perfect touch.
I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family visiting in their future and will be returning with my family who are all brown, local, hard working Mexicans and from a ranch for my birthday that’s coming up this February.
Why, because I enjoy quality food that’s healthy for us and caring customers service. It’s a different taste than the daily Mexican food we eat and I would like to enjoy good food with good people on my birthday.
Advice for the future, as a customer, local or foreigner, please treat everyone with the same dignity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Racist place, not authentic Thai food.
When I called first enquiring for a table for 2 in Spanish the service was denied, they said they did not have availability.
Second time I called (few minutes later) I spoke English with the hostess, she was very polite and she surprisingly could accommodate our reservation.
We arrived and ordered a starter, two main dishes and some drinks. Drinks were fine, starter was okay but the main dishes looked like a 6 year old made it. Worst pad Thai I ever tried.
Staff was polite but after ready all the Mexican reviews it makes me wonder if this service we were getting was only because we were speaking English all the time even though we are Mexican.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I REALLY wanted to give it 5 stars, but for me, just 4. Food was good, but my Pad Thai, for me, was too sweet. (It could just be a preference but it was sweet vs peanut butter-y.) My husband ordered the chop suey add shrimp extra spicy and I enjoyed his dish more. The service was very good and they were all working together so greatly as a team despite a huge order that came in which put them behind. Complimentary cocktails were given and the manager was very attentive as well. Will definitely go back.
