Kinoki - 29200 San Cristóbal de las Casas

Loved to go there for a soup or beer in the evening, they have a nice rooftop and balcony on first floor from where you can admire the view and observe the crowd on calle Guadalupe. Staff service was quite uneven, some days very friendly and others pretty annoyed and cold… still a good place to go, they have a good programmation of art-house and political cinema.

The ambience and rooftop is nice. Drinks were good. The food is bad and the service was a big disaster for us. We ordered 2 meals, both of the orders were wrong served. Especially the pizza was really funny. We ordered one but we received another pizza. When we politely said that this was the wrong pizza they said twice times (in a not so polite way) that we ordered this one…. After 5 minutes they came back with the same pizza and put some ingredients from the pizza we ordered on it. After all we ate some slices (of a really bad pizza) and another waitress gave us 50% discount on the pizza, because we caught them giving the same pizza (with extra ingredients, which was a really bad combination) and this is also not how you serve your guests. We can laugh about it now, but improvement is necessary.

Even though the food is substantial as you can see in the pictures it's not very tasty. The service was also not great. We had asked for sides with our dishes and they arrived once we were about to leave even though we asked for them several times. Buuuut food and service aside they have a good terrace with a nice view of the city, which is good for sunset drinks.

Loved it!!! Fantastic roof top with the view on the whole city, great service. Teas are numerous and delicious (not frequent in Chiapas or Yucatan), same for coffees according to my travel friend. The food was tasty and well presented. We went two times and I regret not having the opportunity to come back again soon!

José was our waiter and had a great vibe around him. The place itself was also great to witness nice sunsets! Not much choice in terms of alcoholic options but good wine. :)

Came here so many times during our stay in San Cristobal de las Casas. The roibos chai is my personal fave. Also great salads and apps!

One of my favorite places in Sancris. This time we just had time and my fried a Yellow Submarine (see pics). Great spot for a chill atmosphere with healthy options and great music. They have scheduled movies as well a rooms you can share with friends. Decor is cool ?. Kinoki is special because this is where I learned about Prince's death during a live radio show recording. ?

Good place to catch the sunset and grab snacks and drinks. My friend also had a pasta dish. Only came here once but it was a nice and spacious place with indoor and outdoor seating. Good service and it’s nice that they also host movie nights.
