This is a restaurant adjacent to the beach with seats directly next to the sand overlooking the water. The perfect place to have a sunset dinner.

While the sushi was good and the chef seemed very skilled, our overall experience was not great. 2 stars because the restaurant did not feel clean and the staff was not taking any covid-19 precautions seriously. No one was wearing masks when preparing the food. Waiters were excessively touching everything on our table. Cocktail was not made well either. I would not recommend it when there are so many other places to try in Tulum.

It was a beautiful beach setting - everything was super clean. I ordered the salmon poke and the fish was so fresh! My boyfriend ordered the pork belly fried rice and was absolutely blown away by how such a simple dish could taste so amazing. We wanted to come back the next day but everything was shutting down due to a hurricane coming in and we were forced to evacuate to a hotel further inland. I'll definitely be coming back next time!

The rice was also hard, despite the fact that the salmon used in it was reasonable. Sashimi, on the other hand, was not as fresh as expected. The service was pleasant, but the food was a disgrace to Japanese cuisine. Perhaps the chef was not working at the time, and guests at the beachclub are treated differently from those who have a reservation at the restaurant?

I've been touring Riviera Maya for the last 10 days and as a foodie my traveling experience is usually measured by the food I eat. Eating at chef Yosuke Kogure's Kogure meant experiencing joy like I seldom experience nowadays when going to a restaurant, it is the proverbial return of flavor as has not existed for years. Domo arigatou Kogure-san!
