La Albarina - 77930 Bacalar

This place is a joke ! At first I was ok i will see how it is ! Customer service is poor ! Prices is over vs the quality of place ! No curtain on the shower and no possibilities to turn on the AC while the balcony door is open just a little as it will likeage ! Third night was a nightmare, party was ongoing until 4am into the private neighborhood then following by a noise of vaccuum terrasse cleaner at 7am ! I didnt sleep and left the place without having breakfast ! I have advised the owner and asked for my third night refund ! ( not accepted) and the owner were accusing me not having pay my extras from the room( which i didnt took anything ) ! DO NOT GO to this hotel !

There are way better places that offer more relaxed vibes, with massage and yoga. They weren't that lovely with us, maybe treat turist and local with same respect? (not depending on the weight of their wallet, otherwise you feel like a number N not a guest) No ofrecen servicios extras para disfrutar mejor la vibra, cm yoga y masajes. Le recomendaría ser más amables con las personas, extranjeros y locales!

La Albarina is a little treasure with only 4 rooms, a great location on the shore of the Lagune. The Inn keeper couple is very friendly and caring, the staff is super nice and the food is great! It is inconceivable that this place has so many bad evaluations! Those cannot come from real guests. I am a real guest though!

Calm, cosy, very good food ans breakfast. I dont understand others bad comments. Ok its not a palace so if you want that go into one. Alejandra is lovely. Booked restaurant for you. She will help you until youll have satisfaction.

We've booked the hotel through Booking.com and on our way there, I've noticed many bad reviews on Google. It was too late for us to cancel it, thus we ended up staying at this hotel. Well, it is lovely! Not sure what's wrong with other people, but we've enjoyed our time there and I felt obliged to leave a review on Google. All staff are super nice. There are two paddeboards available to spend some time on the lagoon. Air conditioning works very well, hot water is there and we had no flies. We had a little problem with wifi and the owner came and fixed it 5 minutes after we've sent a message through booking.com. Some people mentioned the terrible damage to stromatolites made by the hotel. Stromatolites are living rocks, similar to reefs, however they look like just some ordinary rocks. Quiet a few hotels in this area were built a while ago and treated these rocks as rocks. The importance of these species was discovered later on and they were doing their best to preserve them since. One night was loud due to a party going on in one of the hotels. It went on until around 12:30. That's the only negative. The garden area is super peaceful and lovely and they even have little turtoise living in the pond in front of the rooms. I highly recommend staying there.

Absolutely the most beautiful hotel in Bacalar! Tour boats stop in front of the hotel because it’s so beautiful. Our host Lola is an absolute gem, always around making sure everything is taken care of. I will come back and recommend it to everyone. THANK YOU! ?

It is nice concept. Very private with only 4 rooms, relaxed and calm down. The accommodation is 3*** (a basic cupboard/wardrobe would be great!!) but the staff and especially Alex the hotel manager made the stay a true 5***** experience. She is truly the good (and very efficient) spirit of the house. Honorable mentions: Breakfast To improve: There are boat trips ? coming nearby for swimming and play loud music. Nothing to improve for the hotel, but guys if you are on one of the boats - pls you are not alone!! No need to terrorize everybody around with your “best on the planet choice of music”
