★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful. They do not offer any refund for cancellation under any circumstances. Do to unforeseen event, we tried to cancel our reservation several months in advance and were still charged full prices. Haven't had this happen with any other Oaxaca hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa del Sotano is a fantastic and charming little hotel. I stayed for 3 nights and felt very welcomed by all of their staff. The breakfasts were terrific as was the cafe de olla! Excellent location in Oaxaca, and felt very safe.

Just wish I could get dinner delivered or in -house restaurant opened for evening meal...wonderful staff and very beautiful property. Love the pillows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel less than 10 minute walk from the center. Clean rooms with good beds. Lovely breakfast staff in particular. Note that there is no on-site parking so you will need to walk 3-4 blocks to park in a public parking area, it costs $15-20 per day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I had a great time staying here for 6 nights. The staff made sure we were always taken care of and answered any questions we had about getting around town. To the people complaining about noise, Is that a joke? You’re staying in a city center. Of course you will hear a little noise (a car driving by) every now and then but its not bad AT ALL. I actually found it very quiet at night and slept incredible. We highly recommend this hotel. It’s safe, clean, close to everything, and very welcoming. Plus, look at that view from the top. Enjoy!
