This was a great place, my wife and I enjoyed our stay here. It is right in the center of downtown which is really close to restaurants and bars. Taxis are around $20 from the airport to this hotel. I recommend getting a city view room so you can enjoy the morning views and nights as well. The breakfast is amazing, they always had something different and many options to choose from, you definitely do not have to have breakfast anywhere else. It is save and secure and the rooms are really clean and quiet at night even for being right in the center of the night life. I will definitely stay here again, I recommend this hotel for families as well.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was not stellar. - The staff enthusiastically agreed over WhatsApp to help my husband make a vaccination appointment about a week before we checked in, then failed to follow up on this and stopped replying to messages. It would have been more useful to us if the hotel had just said they couldn’t help, and we could have tried to make other arrangements instead of relying on them. - upon check in, we received an ‘upgrade’ to the “compartir de amor” room, which was a larger and more private room... however, it had an unfathomably strong putrid, disgusting smell coming from the shower drain that permeated the whole room. I believe this is a known issue, as it’s mentioned in other reviews. They did move us to another room (the original one we booked) when we complained, and that was a lovely room. - the staff is not particularly welcoming or friendly, which is a contrast to everywhere else we stayed in Mexico where the hospitality has been top notch. When we arrived to check in, several people were working on the computer by the front desk but no one acknowledged us at all. Francisca (I believe) at front desk was the most helpful, and the lady who cooks breakfast is very sweet.

We really did not enjoy our stay here. The personnel is quite unhelpful and doesn’t speak English fluently. Furthermore the bathroom had a terrible smell and the room was very noisy at night. We liked the mattress and the general atmosphere of the hotel but the pictures are quite deceiving and the hotel does not live up to them. I would steer clear of the hotel cause for what you pay this is a total rip-off. Sad it is spoiling our until now spotless experience of Mexico. Ps. The breakfast is not free, you get one small dish and then pay extra for everything else

Amazing location, but unfortunately we experienced that the staff was somewhat unfriendly, which is in stark contrast with almost all Mexicans we have met so far on our trip. The bathroom was a bit smelly, which would have been ok if we did not pay so much (for Mexican standards). I do not fully understand why this hotel gets such an incredible rating compared to other establishments in Guanajuato and would not recommend it.

Location is great but breakfast is very basic. We also had to pay extra for a room with a window.

Rooms were really nice and spacious. The location was great too! For the people mentioning that the bathrooms smelled. You have to make sure you use the cover in the shower and place it over the drain when you're not showering. It's just the way the plumbing system works in the building/area. The only issue we had was with the Wifi. The wifi was not usable in our room on the top floor. We could only get a small signal when we left the door open or worked from the hallway. But the Wifi works great in the lobby, and about an hour after breakfast they turn off the music and it's easy to work from there.

Room itself was nice and hotel is in great location, albeit the street can get loud at night. Clean and comfortable beds with wifi working in some parts of the room. Disapointed with the breakfast staff, inconsistent in telling what's available, one day pancakes were included the next we were told they had none then were told they were 35 pesos. Left 50 pesos on the table and later in the day one of the waiters chased me out onto the street to tell me I didn't pay. Pointed out I left 50 and he thought it was his tip. Chose to eat breakfast at our expense elsewhere after that.
