It's smaller than it looks, service was okay not totally attentive. Food that I had seemed just thrown together. I had argentinian sausage and eggs but the sausage wasn't that flavorful, and it was broke up in chunks and just thrown in it seemed, not combined like chorizo. Maybe that's the way it came but wondered if maybe I looked American, and just improvised. Also there was no desciption of what or how they prepared it. I thought i would be getting eggs over easy, or at least a choice, but i got scrambled. The sweet bread was nice. Also they do dont have a sign to their restaurant, it's a sign for something else, another building on the property. They do have bathrooms, but know that they don't have toilet seets. None of the bathrooms that I went into had them. And bring your own toilet paper just in case. Overall not totally impressed with la caverna, and they didnt have the candle thing they tout on the youtube. There was another part of the cave that seemed to be blocked off by a fence where the rest might have been. Because it seemed bigger on you tube, and had more area.

Found this place almost by accident. We were touring the pyramids at Tenochtitlan and asked our driver to take us somewhere to eat. The food is wonderful but the atmosphere is incredible. You'll be greated by the smell of mesquite smoke as you carefully walk down into the cavern. Too many dishes too choose just one to rave about, we wound up sharing everything and it was all delicious.

Too much spicy, the rabbit meat was little as well as the beans.

Great place to wind down and eat well after a long day at the pyramides. The cab driver recommended this place and it turned out awesome! Their mole was incredibly full of flavor, just a hint of spice with sweet and omg. We ordered the tamarindo margarita and that was amazing too. They don't have a huge sign outside, it is located tucked away but the cab driver drove us in and guided us in. You could easily drive past this place and not even know it's there. It is truly a hidden gem of a place. There are other restaurants leading out of the pyramids but we are glad we went to La Caverna. We went on May 3rd and Primero Dios will return soon.Thank you for the wonderful food, location and hospitality to the entire La Caverna team. We Highly Recommended.

Absolutely ♥️????‼️‼️‼️ Very cute and cozy, Family friendly, loved the Mix Drinks, I ? the #jarito. The food is so delicious, large portion for kids/teen. I would recommend #lacaverna a thousand times more if your on a budget and want something like La Cueva. It's about 30% cheaper.
