Food and service was excellent. The hand made tortillas were sooooo good. My favorite dish was the empanadas with cheese.

This place serves authentic Yucatán cuisine. Tikin Xic is the best of all! Very fresh and tasty. The vibe is also very nice. We felt like eating in fancy hacienda. It’s a must to try!

Beautiful courtyard and a warm friendly vibe. Favorites were the tikin xic (fish), taco de cochinita, and the chaya and lime juice. Loved the traditional flavors, friendly service, and green open courtyard.

It’s unfortunate that I had a bad experience here because it is lovely and the service is great. However the dogfish tacos made me ill. The fish smelled off and I immediately felt like I had to stop after one bite. I thought maybe the heat was just getting to me but I was ill shortly after. I’m sure this was just a one off incident so I wouldn’t recommend this dish.

Lovely setting, speedy and friendly service. Food was tasty but not spectacular. However we didn't mind paying as they had nice bathrooms and an extremely pleasant setting. Very relaxing garden setting. Would go again.

Quite the tourist-trap this one. Don't get me wrong: it's a nice tourist trap. They have everything you'd like as a tourist interested in the local cuisine. We tried this place to try in one go all the dishes and get a feeling of what we like. It's great for that. The setting is great as well, as the building really sets a colonial atmosphere. However, compared to other places, this is a pretty expensive place. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. The service is fast...maybe a little too rushed. The portions are good; you will definitely not go home hungry. However, I would still recommend going to local taquerias (la Union is just a street away) and the food market (San Benito) if you want to experience the local flavours in a less expensive manner. I can recommend their Sopa de Lima though, that is pretty tasty if you like limes.

Great experience dining here recently. The food and service were very good. The fresh home made corn tortillas are very good. I was able to pay with a credit card but the waiter seemed pleased with a cash tip. If it’s hot I recommend the back room which has some air conditioning. I will definitely return in the future!

Beautiful setting, very helpful and excellent staff. Their menu has just about every dish for which the Yucatan is known. So this might be a good first stop for you to get an idea of what food you will find on the rest of your trip. Our food was just OK. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are expecting to eat a lot of Yucatan food on your trip. However, if you are traveling with a large group of picky eaters and/or children, this restaurant is in a very good location and may be exactly the spot for you!
