Deana and the staff at La Chispa organized and executed the most beautiful and spectacular party for my mom’s 70th birthday. Everything was perfect, every detail was thoughtful...the chapel was exquisitely decorated, the food was spectacular and the service was fantastic. La Chispa and Deana thank you for helping us give my mom and our guests a truly unforgettable evening.

La Chispa is a wonderful guest house with the most amazing bar I have ever seen and three incredible rooftop terraces with views of the Bajio valley. Humming birds all around and not far from town. The rooms are amazing and very comfortable. Decorated tastefully with all the amenities. very relaxing space

I stayed here with my girlfriend during christmas, and i must say staying at La Chispa was truly an amazing experience for us. The house is gorgeous, and the rooms are luxurious. Most houses in Mexico are not insulated, and can get cold during the night, but this place is. You will feel warm and cozy all the time, and there is plenty of hot water in the shower ;) Food and drinks are delicious and you can enjoy the sunset on their beautiful rooftop terrace. But what makes this place special is the hosts and their two loveable dogs. We were overwhelmed by Deana and Dennis hospitality and it was interesting to listen to the story behind this place. They are very helpful, and can also give good advice for where to eat and what to see in San Miguel de Allende. They absolutely deserve a top rating! Thanks a lot and hope we can come back soon :)

We had our wedding at La Chispa in March. The wedding was fabulous! Deana did an amazing job in planning absolutely everything and hosting the event. Deanna coordinated all service apart from the food and the cake which she arranged on her own. We had our ceremony in the Chapel right on the property, and then the reception in their courtyard. Deana prepared an extraordinary dinner for everyone, catered to special dietary needs, and made a gorgeous cake with hand crafted flowers to match the color theme of the bride’s shoes and bouquet. Because Deana and Dennis took care of everything for us, we had a wonderful stress-free wedding. Several guests commented that it was the best wedding the had been too. In total we had 40 guests, which was easily accommodated at La Chispa. The property and rooms our gorgeous. We highly recommend La Chispa to anyone who wants to get married in San Miguel de Allende. Deana and Dennis truly went above and beyond.

La Chispa is a very unique and extraordinary place, one of the nicest we’ve ever stayed. The hosts Deana and Dennis are wonderful, interesting people. The room, grounds and restored chapel are simply amazing. Stay a few KM’s outside SMA in the country. Deana is a chef and prepared a anniversary meal for us in the chapel that will be a lifetime memory. Wow!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Stayed at La Chispa for one week and absolutely LOVED IT! Hosts made our experience an absolute dream and the house/property are gorgeous. It's hard to pick a favorite part—we really enjoyed the comfy bed and linens, jacuzzi hot tub, relaxing on the property under all the shady trees, a 5-course chapel dinner, the wonderful hosts Deana and Dennis, having some drinks at their amazing in-home bar, and all the little moments of our trip. Can't wait to come back!

We are the discerning international traveler. We found an unbelievable luxury experience just minutes from Centro. This is a gorgeous home with elegantly appointed guest rooms and even a private apartment which we rented. First class hosts which are so kind and engaging, made us feel like family, all of the 5 star amenities, and lush surroundings. We used their friend for a private driver which made coming and going into town so easy. Do not look any further. This is the luxury you are looking for!

What a beautiful, quiet oasis. La Chispa is in the countryside in a garden paradise with mesquite trees, bougainvillea, jasmine, cactus, an herb garden and other mature trees and vines. The back garden is tiered with incredible stone terraces and sitting areas, and the gorgeous large hot tub is privately situated on a hidden terrace. The well stocked bar is always open and the owners are happy to serve you one of their unique cocktails. The owners could not be more helpful or friendly. This is by far the best Airbnb experience we have ever had.
