La Clave Azul Restaurante Taberna - 36000 Guanajuato

Spent one of the most memorable evenings of my life here. Beautiful bar. We had a rooftop personal concert by the guitar player. I love this place!

Ver quaint unique place. People are very friendly and the botana is great. Guitar player singer added great atmosphere and people really have fun. Must spend the afternoon or evening while in town.

My wife and I were very excited to find this place. We loved it so much that we decided it would be our go to place while visiting Guanajuato. 1st few visits were wonderful. They treated us like family. Big hugs and embraces.. We felt so welcomed and at home We also made sure to leave very good tips. All was good But, the last night we went there we made the mistake of telling them it was our last night. After several hours of eating and drinking our bill came and it was at least $500 pesos more than it should have been. We decided it would be best to pay it and never return. Unfortunately, several other reviews confirm being ripped off there is an issue. Too bad, It turns out they weren't sincere at all. Next time we visit that city we won't be going to La Clave Azul

You gotta go to this bar, a great place to drink. DO NOT EAT THE FOOD, we did and it was a mistake that took a week to shake off. But the drinks, vibe and decor can't be beat.

Overall food in Guanajuato had been disappointing until we found this hidden gem. Google maps and GPS struggles so you might just have to wander around until you hot the spot. There's no menu at lunchtime so just order your poison, drink it and sit patiently! Staff are friendly and welcoming. A little spanish is needed but nothing scary. Classical music blaring out might be a sign you're in the right place ;)

Great atmosphere. Recommend this place to feel like you are not in a touristy place and experience a rustic bar with class

This is a hidden jem. A jewel. I am in love with this place. The decoration of this place is absolutely awesome. The first time I was there I was smiling for half an hour. Couldn’t wipe the grin of my face. As long as you drink they bring out food. Don’t be cheap and suck on a beer for two hour. Spend some money on drinks and get fed for free. You won’t regret this visit. Personally I could move in.

Omg what a hidden gem! A cool cozy bar Tucked away in plaza Fernando. They offer food from 2-6 pm and close at 9 pm most days. They have some lovely boleros playing in the background and the staff are very welcoming. We loved it so much we went again the following day. There is an outdoor area as well.
