★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience and excellent french dishes. This is a culinary experience of traditional french dishes to die for. Don't be fooled by the bite size dishes they are packed with flavor and are excellent! ??
Shout out to the Capitan Gabriela Leyva, the hostess Gabriela Alberto and our server Garmi for going above and beyond & giving such an excellent service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In spite of excellent service and ambiance, one of the worst meals of all time. The lobster tail was industrial frozen with “béarnaise” sauce baked on like plastic wrap. Even the potatoes suffered - apparently the main seasoning here is salt. The crème brûlée was undercooked and runny, and if you want a marginally palatable red wine expect to pay $100+. Not French, not good, not going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be sure you remember to wear long pants at this one. You can wear a backwards hat, a plaid flannel shirt, or a tshirt, but just be sure the pants are long.
Obviously we didn't bring any on this trip, so we had to purchase some at the gift shop in order to be served.
While the long pants were necessary for service, the food quality felt more in line with Crocs, cutoff denim shorts, and a wife beater.
Pass on this one while you're at Maya Riviera!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst restaurant in Barcelo Maya Riviera. But still acceptable by all inclusive resort standards.
The food looks incredible, but it tastes nothing like it. The beef Wellington is way over cooked and tough. The puff pastry is undercooked and tastes mushy inside.
The ratatouille is sliced too thick, resulting in tough bites and bitter tastes.
I’m not French. I’m chinese AF. So I can’t comment on authenticity. But I’m 250 pounds fat so I know food and this is quite bad.
