La cueva de Don Cenobio - 46400 Tequila

Beautiful location a few blocks from Tequila's Historic Center. The food (traditional Mexican with a modern twist) was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Seriously, Cueva de Don Cenobio is one of the best places to eat authentic Mexican food in Tequila. I would recommend the veggie creams for appetizer, for main course the Enchiladas, or Carne en su jugo, and for dessert the delicious Tequila ice-cream. Because I went on Mother's day they had an awesome mariachi singer. By the way, the staff was very attentive and warm, spefically the owner, Ms. Sauza, with a special mention to Alberto, and Aureliano. They made sure everyone was having their food on time and just spending a great afternoon. All in all, don't miss this place, it is a beautiful old Hacienda that endures all trough the years, with a lot of History on their walls, it was if not the first Tequila Enterprise, it certainly was one of the first to make it big time internationally. Now, they preserve their traditions by offering memorable experiences to tourists that visit the place.

This restaurant sounded like a bad touristy place, but it was actually very good. We got the lechon, aguachile, and parrillada. They were all very good. They had two live singers, and the restaurant is really beautiful. This restaurant won’t disappoint. It sucked that we couldn’t try more things.

Friendly faces, good service. Been coming to Mexico since 2016 and finally had a chance to come here. The beef selection are great.

The place is stunning my with beautiful grounds and lots of history...For a fine dining place I felt very rushed by the service and how fast the food came out...The crema de Oaxaca was very good...also the lechon I would recommend...but the pulpo had a puree I did not like...the dessert pan de elote was a muffin with no cajeta or sweet topping was not good.

Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and great service. I was greatly surprised I found this very nice place and more to see how little I had to pay. Definitely worth to go! highly recommend. I recommend the enmoladas, aguachile and carpacho de pulpo.

Inside Sauza house you can find this nice restaurant wich offers some great tasty food and good service. Its a open space surrounded by trees, flowers and plants, beautiful fountains and little chapels. It can be rented for big events or you can just have a getaway lunch for the weekend.
