Absolutely lovely! This airbnd felt like coming home. If you are a nature & animal lover, this is the perfect place for you! Teresa & Carlos make you feel like a part of the family.

Family atmosphere, beautiful escape close to the city center with an incredible bed and quiet garden. Super clean, comfortable place and easy communication.

Theresa and Carlos are excellent hosts, breakfast on the terrace was a highlight for me, good walking distance to the central plaza, can't recommend this place enough

Rooms are gorgeous and super comfortable! Pool is large, deep and clean. Birds, sunshine, fresh cuisine steps away from the door. Book several nights as soon as you can. We wish we could stay much longer! One of our favorite stays around the world, and I can promise we will come back just to stay here again. The hostess practices Spanish with us, makes a stellar full breakfast, makes really beautiful ceramic and glass jewelery, and her husband built everything by hand for her. Really lovely couple and property, including a full fruit garden: papaya, lime, lemon, orange, bitter orange, coconuts and a variety of other treats. Valladolid is magical. Can't recommend this place enough for rest, relaxation, and connecting to Mayan ruins, cenotes, and nature. In about 10 minutes walk you're in the center of town with so much to do and so much to eat and drink. Shopping? Anything you want! We are never sad to go to the next location. That's not the case here.

My Mexican home! Teresa and Carlos are the best hosts, the garden is a little paradise, the natural sounds are amazing and the centre of Valladolid is only one lovely little walk away!

My sister and I booked La Dichosa through Airbnb. It was incredibly affordable. We returned to Valladolid because we love exploring cenotes which surround this area. Carlos kept in contact with me leading up to our arrival, sending messages every few days about looking forward to our stay. The day we arrived to Valladolid it was very late, around 130am and Carlos waited up for us. We had a hard time finding the location in the dark, so Carlos went outside to flag us in. He was so helpful and kind despite the ungodly hour. Teresa was amazing! She prepared us breakfast each morning, which also served as our wake up call lol. Breakfast was served at an adorable little table outside our room. She was a kind and gracious host. She spoke great English and spent time each day talking with us and giving us recommendations for food and attractions. The room was quaint and beautifully decorated. There is no TV in the room but great WiFi. Plenty of hot water and great AC. The property is beautiful with several plants, flowers and trees. You can tell that Teresa and Carlos take pride in developing the space, it is a work in progress. They have a very nice pool and lounging area. Secured parking inside gate. We were given keys to the room and both gates. Draw backs hard to find and the neighborhood looks sketchy. No restaurants, convience stores or shopping within walking distance. However everything is within a few minutes by car. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality! If you're wanting an adventure chose Valladolid and stay here at La Dichosa!

One of our favorite bed and breakfasts we’ve ever stayed at! Teresa and Carlos are a warm, friendly couple that has built up such an incredible property. We booked originally for just two nights, but stayed for almost a week! The breakfasts, garden, pool, animals, and just spending time with Teresa and Carlos made this experience magical.
