★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to find beauty around here, and lovely to have food to match at La Doña. I lovvvved the ensalada de campo. The “aphrodisiac” cocktail (but with white vermouth instead of jarabe de damiana; they were out of the latter?) was divine. The flautas de jamaica with guacamole were delicious – and alas, too filling for me to try either of my server’s favorite desserts today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in a large, beautifully renovated colonial house, the restaurant is in its centra patio. Lovely lighting via Oaxaca black ceramic lamp shades, retractable roof to keep dry in the rainy season, one old style fountain and 3 flat modern ones. Does the food match the decor? Absolutely! We had the Jamaica flautas as as an appetizer , and I had Tuetanos as a main dish, bone marrow served in the bone. Delish! We shared a house salad with beetroot dressing, very original!
Upstairs is nice drinking area with good views and loud techno music - not to my taste but ymmv. The music could be heard in the patio but not too loud. Highly recommended for foodies looking to taste high end Mexican cuisine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is easy to run out of superlatives when discussing this restaurant. The location, the atmosphere, the food, the service, everything was exceptional. Our waitress, Silvia, was the consummate host, patient, engaging, friendly, can't say enough good things about her. The food was absolutely amazing, the pollo con mole the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, using chicken breast medallions, and the pistachio crusted salmon just cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Full bar. Melt in your mouth skirt steak and fish with pineapple salsa. I don't remember the name of dessert, but it was a subtle sweet corn cake with sauce, strawberries and Carmel ice cream delicioso!!! Professional staff. Love how they strung the overhead lighting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience in higher cuisine. The place is super nice and got a huge terrace as well. I came for a mole dish and didn't get disappointed. All food I had was super tasty and the sauces which came aside, too. The service was very good and attentive. Very recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ate here alone on a Monday night. It was quiet but the staff were still attentive. I ordered two entrees (octopus and cauliflower) and the tuna tostadas. The portions were generous enough that I had to take half home. Definitely better to dine here in a pair or group, but the food was excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a delightful delicious impromptu drop in at 3:30 in the afternoon. Balanced delicious cocktails to start, then we shared a steak plate, the esquites, a salad then dessert. Super yum! Lettuces we’re so fresh and crisp, steak was sizzling and completely sexy, corn side dish was superb and lemony with a house made aioli, dessert was playful and satisfying. Run— don’t walk to this skillfully serviced establishment. ?????? We will return.
