★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thoroughly enjoyed my time here (3 months) at the La Estancia Hotel. The fellowship I found here with other guests, the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff was outstanding! I believe it is the best value by far in Ajijic. I will definitely return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel is in a terrific location, charming and affordable with comfortable beds and room. We did have several power (and thus A/C) outtages the first few, very hot days, and the water was off for a period, but the maintenance man got on the problems quickly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived in Ajijic late but luckily the watchman let us in. The room was okay i guess. The restroom was less then desirable. There was no drinking water in the room. The water dispenser in the courtyard had no bottle on top so yes bugs were in it. I inquired about the water and dude just opened a new jug and dropped it on. Oh yeah, one of the other guest had an alarm clock going off for about 1/2 hour til the watchman finally got it handled. Other then that, the layout of the courtyard was cool! The hotel did served its purpose. Gave us a few hours rest.
