I was around looking for some food, at first I saw anpther place called Las Kekas that looked decent and traditional but there were already too many people inside so I kept walling until I found La Flauteria. It was busy inside but there were enough free tables so I stayed. The food was amazing! Everything they serve comes big so don't order too much though!

Simple but nice and definitely affordable. Very clean place including the kitchen. Very friendly. Gringos welcome;) The menu is only in Spanish, but they have pictures of what you can order in their menu. My recommendation is chicken enchiladas with tamarind sauce

Love the crispy, crunchy fried tacos. Yes that is what a flauta is a friend long taco filled with your preferred filling.

This is a place specialized on Flautas, deep fried tacos, chicken, beef, cheese and so on, chicken broth and more. It closes late on Sunday so it's an option when running out of options

Terrible service. The places closes at 10 PM and I got there at 9:30 PM and they refused to give me service. Their attitude was focused on closing the kitchen and not on a hungry and paying customer. Luckly I went further up the road to the Picalla Grill and food was excellent and service was great.

Food was very good here. Cochinito tacos were great. Salsa - mild to medium. Also the chorizo quesadilla with papas very good as well. Service was not that great however I have been back few more times to eat.

Have been in the area for close to 2 years. Discovered this place because it was recommended by "chilangos" who told me to try their pozole over the one I had found to be best. I'm glad I tried it. They were right! Now, visit at least once a week and have tried most of their menu. It's typical Mexican food (which can be found everywhere) however, soups with better stock, and meats of better quality. The natural aguas are not from syrup, but, natural and with just a little sugar. Staff is attentive and quick. My favorite is Sonya, who always serves with a smile. Inexpensive. The place is typical in decor, nothing outstanding. I recommend rather than going to any chain (food there is generally insipid). Don't worry nothing is spicy. You can add hot sauce later (only habanero based available , which I find a shortcoming as many of us prefer other chilies as base) or add the avocado ? sauce which has no chilies at all. I reiterate that you may not find a better pozole in town.
