DO NOT GO! You are better off with the McDonald next door! The biggest problem I had with them was that the price on the menu does not include tax, which was not correct in Mexico. I think they are trying to trick American tourists. Also they include tip in the bill, which is ok if they didn’t do the tax thing. We ended up paying 20% more than the price on the menu for, what they claim, tax and tip. Food wise, they calamari and shrimps were fine, and the meats were terrible. The guacamole was good. We should’ve checked the review....

Horrible!! Over priced and gross. Got the fish tacos that were greased out batter with no fish. I asked if there was sauce or salsa that came on it and what they gave me was ranch that was put on the table still in the store bought bottle.

Same gripes as all others, next time I'll check rating before entering a place. I felt like the waiters were just pulled from the street the same day. The food per se was not terrible but the presentation was. We both had chicken soup, the chicken in it looked like it had been hacked to death and the veggies were uncooked. Ordered another dish which was advertised with a side. Did not get the side and was told the item description was a printing error on the menu which were coincidentally JUST printed a few days ago. Tried to play the TAX trick but I already know IVA is included in pricing in Mexico. Waiter said it was a TIP although it was written in the tax line, which amounted to about 20% extra. I said I would tip what I considered adequate for the food and service. Would never go back to this place.

Ordered beef tacos. Got chicken. Ordered hot soup. It was cold. They snuck in a large tip in the total. See attached cheque. Bathrooms had no soap or paper. Better avoid.

We loved this clozy place. Everyone was friendly, and clean. The table side guacamole was the amazing. I had the chicken tacos. They were just the best thing on the strip. If you are around here. Check it out.

We were seeking local restaurants in Playa de Carmen. This was the one out of two restaurants we checked out that didn't increased their prices due to their hot/popular location. We ordered our drinks and guacamole immediately. The portion size resulted from 2 avocados seem smaller to me but I may be wrong. I ended up ordering twice. Then we ordered our main dish a few minutes later while we enjoying our appetizer. The service wait for the main dish was longer than usual. Ordinarly we would probably order another drink while waiting but we refused their offer. There is no drink menu. You may request a drink and if they have the ingredients, they will prepare it. My partner designed a margarita and it was good. In general, food was good. The tortillas were thinner in my opinion for tacos and usually in cases like that other restaurants I've been to will double them but they didn't. As a result, it took away from enjoying the full taco-eating experience. Our waiter was good; no bad experience there. There are performers/musicians who come around to play for each table and they request a tip. If you want a show, go for it. They will play 1-2 songs. But if you don't want a show, make sure you politely and firmly decline their offer as soon as they walk up to your table. Beware they may try to have you touch one of their authentic instruments to get you to change your mind. Additionally, if you have a big party of over 4 people, one person cannot solely be the tiper. They will ask the others at the table to contribute. There is also a photographer on-site. He will take a picture for your party at your table. Beware, the picture is not free. Although, he may state it is just to allure you. If you want the picture, get it. It's a nice souvenir of that night, however, if you don't want to purchase the picture, politely decline and walk away. Don't even look at the picture. The restaurant is on the top floor. There's a nice patio area. There are stairs and no elevators. The bathrooms were as neat as they could be. There's only one per gender. My rating is based on the overall experience with every factor taking into consideration. If you're in the downtown area of Playa del Carmen near the ferry entrance and you're looking for a Mexican restaurant without the touristic price, check them out just make sure you fully read this review prior to it. Bon appétit!

Beware they're adding taxes and put a random rate money exchange to their advantage. The food is good but it's a unfortunately a tourist trap. Won't go there.

Horrible experience!! ordered chicken tacos and they came out cold, so when i asked for it to be reheated it never came back, my mom also ordered the enchiladas, they came out cold and they just microwaved the same plate. Never received the tamales we ordered and waited 30+ minutes for. When the check came they tried to sneak in a "service fee" which was an extra 190 pesos, Do NOT eat here, it's a tourist trap!!!
