On a Saturday evening, the place was empty and silent. Nothing on the menu was in stock but, the waiter informed us, the New York strip steak with organic vegetables special was very good (not on the menu or advertised anywhere). A plate of carrots, unwashed and barely cooked made it to the table after 20 minutes. 10 minutes later a flank steak showed up. Over cooked, no flavor. I took several bites. Not one bite could I chew and swallow. All had fair amounts of unchewable mass that I had to leave on my plate. Staff was inexperienced and inattentive. To the owners: Please give up this excellent space and allow a real restaurant to open in its place. Potential guests: If you made it this far, do not even consider eating here. The previous reviews can't be real or genuine. The photos are of a different restaurant that used to operate in this location.

This charming-looking eatery looked like the cozy gem that could be easily overlooked. But it easily had the worst food we had in the past ten years. The menu is concise and is consisted of mainly international dishes such as pasta and salad (with a few Mexican option). The first warning sign is the fact the first three dishes I wanted to order is not available. Given we were there in the early evening (5:30pm) and there was only two other tables at the restaurant, running out of that many dishes was definitely a bad indictor. After taking our order, the cheese plate came out after about twenty minutes and we had to remind the server that our drink orders were forgotten. The main course took another half an hour to arrive. Oddly, one of the appertizers that we ordered arrived with the main dish. My husband ordered the seafood spaghetti. It was immediately clear to us that something was not right. The spaghetti was lukewarm and the seafood pieces were actually cold to touch. Upon further examination, many shrimp was actually stone cold raw (and gray) . The chef did not even bother coat the raw shrimp in marinara sauce. We all know just how quick seafood cook. It is apparently that the kitchen just threw in frozen seafood medley and did not bother to check whether it was actually cooked. We immediately pointed out to the server of the issue and showed him that the shrimp was just 100% raw. He took the dish back to the kitchen. Sure enough…. we heard the microwave in action. When the seafood was sent back for being raw, it would be necessary for the kitchen to actually remake (or at least cook) the dish. Microwaving a raw seafood dish was never an acceptable solution. Sure enough, the dish arrived back in a few minutes. The dish definitely tasted rancid. The beef dish that I got was also not hot, but at least it was edible and cooked to medium rare. Sure enough, the bill came with no discount or apology for raw seafood. The server took away the 90% uneaten seafood pasta without saying a word. In fact, this is the only restaurant we visited in Mexico that we tipped less than 15%. It is simply a horrible dining experience.
