Se trata de un deposito de agua que formaba parte del sistema hidráulico para surtir de agua potable a la cabecera municipal proveniente del manantial conocido como "La Toma" y que contaba con un acueducto y el tanque rojo. Y que se ha conservado a pesar del tiempo y la urbanización de la ciudad.
 A historic monument of the early twentieth century. It is a water tank that was part of the hydraulic system to supply drinking water to the municipal head coming from the spring known as "La Toma" and that had an aqueduct and a red tank. And that has been preserved despite the time and urbanization of the city.
