La Gloria - Botica de Sabores Mexicanos - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

Fantastic food. Best Mexican I've found on the island, Clean, fresh flavours with all of the traditional options like conchita, tinga and mole along with great veggie ang vegan options as well. It's only a few block back from town so easy to walk to and the staff are really nice, attentive without being intrusive and we loved the relaxed artsy vibe.

We went for an early dinner and were greeted kindly at the door. The restaurant is cozy and the decor is fun. There is a lot to look at and the tiny tazas (cups) hanging from the ceiling are cool. The waiter was happy to make some recommendations, and we used them. We had a 2 year old and 5 year old with us and the wait for food was short, which is always appreciated. We were immediately served with chips and salsa verde. The first dish came out after about 8 minutes. We had ceviche, cochinita pibil tacos, and an order of gorditas. The ceviche was in a red sauce and the flavor was outstanding. Quite different, and much more depth of flavor than the traditional just-lime type. I'm a ceviche fan and put it near the top of my list. The tacos were served with pickled onions and were also excellent. This was my first time having traditional gorditas, which were served with crema, and also delicious. They serve breakfast some days and have 2x1 specials. We will be returning soon to partake in other tasty meals.

Going to the La Gloria Is not only a gastronomic experience, it is like coming back home. The quality of the service is absolutely remarkable, there is a lot to learn of customer service from them. Mostly how to make the approach and attention on you so smooth so friendly as you are treated by only your best mates. If you are at Cozumel, you have to visit. If you are running any customer facing business, you have to visit also to learn. Hopefully the takeaway will help to flourish caring customer experiences to spread across the globe. Six stars. (By the way the food was magnificent too!)

One of our favorite places for meals! We went there almost everyday. Tried cochinita pibil for the first time here, the food was always delicious, the price is very reasonable, the service was great (loved Cami & Pablo), the owner runs a soup kitchens for charity since covid hit which is super awesome ❤

The food is simy outstanding! The people are lovely and attentive... By far, one of our first and best foodie experiences in Mexico! Cami and Pablo are exceptional! They're a great team! They're helpful and courteous. They earned every dollar in tips we gave them for sure! Today (Valentine's Day 2021), LA Gloria had a couple's meal deal. There were several parts to the meal, and at the end, Cami brought us a confectionary that SHE made which was absolutely delightful (see the chocolate covered heart dessert). 5 stars, and my wife and I highly recommend LA Gloria to every person who comes to Cozumel! ¡Gracias Pablo y Cami, por hacer que nuestro tiempo con LA Gloria fuera tan maravilloso!

Super nice people but unfortunately we came with too high expectations. The food looks better than it tastes :/ price is more than fair!

I LOVE this place - possibly the best food in Cozumel and beyond. Incredible woman-owned restaurant with a stage for live music, too. Try all their house specialties!!
