★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautifully kept grounds with multiple pools at different temperatures so you’re sure to find your own personal Goldilocks pool; the cave is by far the warmest! The food is okay...as are the cocktails. Both are reasonably priced but not special in any way. I really enjoy the ban on portable speakers and the fact the facility doesn’t play its own music. Hearing the birds, the rustling of the trees, and the sound of children having the time of their lives is blissful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you’re in San Miguel de Allende La Gruta Spa is a great way to spend the afternoon. I was a little worried from previous reviews and photos but this place does not disappoint. It’s big with 5 pools. One for kids, 3 thermal pools and then the actual gruta cave. We went on a Saturday at 7am to beat the crowds and had most of the pools to ourselves. It’s a nice family type place. Amazing Mexican food and super affordable. It’s a bit tricky to catch an Uber so taxi might be better. The spa can call you a taxi too. The actually grounds are a big park with grass, gardens and seating spaces. $250 Mx pesos to enter and you can pay entrance, food and services with credit card.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is okay, but there are plenty of better hot spring options if you are willing to travel. The entrance was more than I expected ($250 pesos) compared to others. There were only 2 of 4 pools available when I visited (Jan) so a bit crowded. Water is perfect temperature and the Underground cave is very nice but again overcrowded and not much else to do as the temazcal was closed due to the pandemic. I expected to spend at least half my day here we were only here for a couple hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Gruta Springs and Spa are just wonderful. Best plan is to arrive at 7am when they open and are filling pools. The food and coffee are good for breakfast and a lunch here on the grounds is fine. Open on Wednesday through Sunday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just a few minutes from the beautiful city of San Miguel de Allende. The thermal waters were clean and warm. Free large lockers with locks provided during your stay. Kid friendly. The staff was helpful and friendly as well. Bathing suits, food and liquor available for purchase. Multiple pools avoided the feeling of overcrowding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doesn't look like much at the entrance, but once inside..... beautiful. Wednesday is the best day to go, due to the fresh, warm water! Plenty of pools to choose from as well! Good food, gorgeous scenery and friendly atmosphere. Lots to do for the day. Open 7AM to 5 PM.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice spa and the grotto is really work seeing. Really nice to spend an afternoon there. They accept credit card for admission and lockers are available for 50 peso deposit (no change for lockers). Definitely don’t miss it!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The grounds are expansive and beautiful. Several small restaurants are tucked in here and there. The pools are close to one another so its easy to get to the temperature that you want to be in. I personally loved the hot steam room in the 'cave'. Breakfast was very good. Bring your own towel. The showers are only cold which i did not enjoy. There are several large individual rooms for showering and changing. There are no mirrors or electrical outlets in the change area.
