★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Jefa is close to the hotel I stayed at during my visit to Tapachula. I somehow got the idea it is a bar. It's probably the beer sign out front. I went in one afternoon thinking to drink a beer, but looking around, I saw that obviously La Jefa is a restaurant. There is a chance that the area to the left, upon entering, is a restaurant, while that area on the right is a bar. Yet even then, La Jefa looked like an ordinary beer served there would be mucho, so I left. It does seem like a nice place, in and out.
