★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ideal starting place for a hike to Iztaccohuatl. You can get here easily if you pay a little fee in the centre in the Paso de Cortes and get a wrist band allowing you to drive to La Joya. And you can see Popo peeping out behind the rock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful piece of life. Just beautiful everything. Take a tall car or truck/suv with a spare tire the road is harsh. Anticipate weather you can get stupid hot or stupid cold so do check because based on that you'll either have a great or hard time. People are nice everything is peaceful. There's a campsite wich is nice and tickey is like 100-200 pesos per person wich is honestly cheap for maintenance. There's nothing to eat or drink so take supplies. If you're considering going just go you won't regreat it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good place to have some mexican typical food, camp and take wonderful photos. Have to mention that there's no proper way to go to the bathroom, so have to be familiar with cat holes and nature
