La Luna - Tonala

La Luna is very pretty and run by Super friendly staff

Pretty rude. We didn't eat or stay. Check out the reviews on trip advisor... Pretty scary. There are a number of nice local places that are more pleasant.

La Luna is on Isla San Marcos, separated by a shallow lagoon from Boca del Cielo. If you have a reservation at La Luna they are going to pick you up and take you to the other side of the 200m lagoon where a nice and comfortable accommodation awaits. The restaurant offers quick service and kind people to help you in any way. You can have European style moka expresso coffee with a fine mexican omlet for breakfast and they serve some of the best freshly caught fishes for lunch. They have kayaks and boats to rent to check out the lagoon from close. In the evening you can have a variety of cocktails and other drinks with your friends at the Loco Mosquito bar on the ocean side of Isla San Marcos. There are several huts under the palm trees where you can have rest for the night, they even have mosquito nets above the beds. All in all it is a very nice place with friendly hosts. There are few tourists here so you can have a quiet and comfortable relaxation here. Enjoy!

Super nice staff, great fresh food and very nice “clean” rooms. Great place to relax and disconnect for a while. We come back for sure.

Magic. That’s the only way to describe this place. Paradise on earth, after one night we booked an extra two nights because we couldn’t imagine ourselves leaving. What a place and atmosphere! Peace and quite (no WiFi, really relaxing!!), great staff and super friendly owners. The food is amazing, we never ate anywhere else. Don’t forget their super cool boat trips which are a bargain (700 pesos per boat) and super cool. We saw 4 crocodiles in the wild! The best memories of our Mexico trip will be found here, for sure. M£250 a night for a nice simple cabaña by the beach. There are cheaper places but this place being run by gardeners is cleaner than anywhere else around. The owners are Italian & Portuguese so the food is amazing, they are a friendly & sweet couple. Highly recommended.

A nice place to spend a relaxing weekend by the beach, simple and clean cabins. I liked their "green" concept. Affordable prices, my only complaint is that they dont have a big variety of seafood dishes.

Amazing place! Perfect for a relaxing weekend. The food and coffee is excellent and fair prices, also have a nice Bar in front of the beach. The staff is so gentle and they give free rides to the other side of the estuary to their clients. Best place in Boca del Cielo, highly recommended!
