★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well defined trail that leads to the summit. informal restaurants at the trail head. Were this peak in the lower 48 usa it would be just below mt Whitney in terms of height. Due to the altitude it was a tough hike, but technically easy. Great views and some birds to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful park. If the mexicans would only care a bit more about their nature. In many places people would cut trees, paint on rocks, through away their bottles, tissues etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a great experience climbing this mountain. I made it to the top! We stayed the night before at the IMSS Bungalows and started the climb in the morning. It took us about 5 hours up and 3 down but it was well worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hike, pretty steep at sections and the last km or so is scrambling up rocks but it's a rewarding hike with some amazing views. Local dogs will join you on the hike as well sometimes if you want a free tour guide (helps if you feed them a bit too!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 hours drive away from cdmx. With beautiful hike in the forest all the way to the peak at 4400m above sea level. The hike is about 8 km long and 1200m climb with avg walk time of 6 hours up and 4 hours back… you can camp over night and it’s safe there with no coast of entry .. you can park by the road or pay 50 m$ (2.5 US$)
