★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After one month of living in San Miguel and trying many restaurants all around, La Mesa Del Matador is my favorite.
The owner/chef is helpful and speaks good English as well.
Ordered the chicken Parmesan and chicken mole. The chicken Parmesan was a bit dry but otherwise very well executed. The chicken mole was superb. The included chips with green and red salsa were also quite tasty. The chicken mole came with a roll and 5 corn tortillas.
Also ordered flan, which was tasty, and a crepe dessert.
Will definitely return. Yes, the prices are on the high side but not unreasonable. In this city I find, you get what you pay for.
