★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has the best service, food, ambiance and people. There’s a shop next door with amazing hand-made crafted items and the bar is packed with great tequila while you wait for you hand-crafted entree. I have never had such good service and food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Getting a little tired of the typical Coastal Mexican food menu but still want to try the local Mexican cuisine? Then you should come to this restaurant. I would call the menu at La Mexicana "Elevated Coastal Mexican". She takes dishes that you might see on typical menus for the area and gives them a classier, higher-end boost or twist which makes for excellent food.
There is typically live music once a week and reservations on live music nights are highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very enjoyable dinner in a beautiful patio setting. Service was spectacular albeit a bit slower than we would have wished with three tired children. A co-owner showed wonderful hospitality and even allowed my kids to choose a parting gift. Octopus was a bit chewy and cool, but Chile relleno with chicken was amazing, chips and guacamole we're fresh and flavorful and tacos we're perfect. 5 stars if the octopus was on point!
