★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our favorite places to stay. Right on the lake with beautiful views from the outdoor restaurant. Now that we own our own home nearby we always recommend out of town visitors stay here to get their first taste of the food and culture of Lake Chapala.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first time here and I was surprised how it looks on the inside. Beautiful view of the lake and they have both outdoor and indoor seating. My fish fillet dish was excellent and price was reasonable.

Gorgeous environment.
The breeze evoked desires for heating lamps, yet the McCaw and the lake's closeness enchanted all of us who desired encantations ... The meals were tasty, everybody enjoyed them, table service lacked plates for the buns.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the best breakfast here, lake side under the canopy of trees, bridal chirping, soft winds blowing and a musical trio playing old romantic tunes...it was magical, and I almost for the food was amazing and the service was efficient and friendly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambiance is very nice. They sell American and Mexican dishes. Good size portions from what I could see at other tables. Food was tasty and worth visiting. Avoid the steak which we had. It was supposed to be a big filet mignon. If it was then it was very low grade meat. To be generous I would compare it to a Top Sirloin

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We absolutely love this hotel! We had planned on staying for a couple of weeks to check out the area....we ended up staying for over a month. We could have changed to a different place. We found it to be comfortable and too many reasons to not leave.
The staff is fantastic and very accommodating.
The restaurant is very good, the hotel price includes breakfast and the waitstaff is great.
Being right on the lake we enjoyed the views and in the evening the breezes from the lake are like being on the ocean. The architecture is very pretty and very Spanish Colonial:) The location is fantastic for walking around Ajijic and exploring.
Yes, it's an older hotel , but I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
