Fuera de ese detalle... lo mejor de todo y que compensa cualquier cosa... gran ubicación, a unos 300 mts del Río Pilón. ?♂️?
Overall good. The only detail in our stay was that cabin 3 had a water leak under the sink.
Outside of that detail ... best of all and that makes up for anything ... great location, about 300 meters from the Pilón River. ?♂️?

A mix of cabins and campsites along a bend in the river high in some rugged mountains.
The caretaker said there's a man who knows medicinal plants in a house nearby; unfortunately he was not home each time I stopped in. If you find him write us a review and let us know. Such knowledge is being lost to society, so let's do what we can to increase access to it.
La Nutria is near the end of the road running west up into the mountains: don't be fooled by the map. If your vehicle is less than rugged it is unwise to go further west after Rayon. After staying longer than planned at this beautiful place that's what I did, descending all the way west to the highway that runs down the central plateau. My tires sweated bullets and my high ground clearance and turning radius were tested to their limits. My Dodge Ram aged a few years in five hours.
