★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little restaurant in Valladolid with locals specialities ☺️ we had the recommendation of the day (stuffed chili with corn sauce), empanadas con queso and the tamal vegano. To drink I had the amazing chaya con lemon which I definitely recommend!
The portions were bigger as expected and I personally didn’t like much the tamal. However I found great that the restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan local specialities !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was recommended by our hostel to eat tamales (Yucatan specialty). Really cool interior and you get a lot for the money. One tamale is 45 pesos and is very filling (i ordered 2 for me and it was too much, one would had been enough). If possible choose different ones and share with friends. We also tried salbutes that were delicious.
Go for it when in Valladolid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sweet place with plenty of choice for vegetarians. The sikil pak and cheese empanadas were delicious, the hoja santa tamale had a unique flavour but was a little dry compared to tamales I’m used to. A lovely garden at the back and a very nice little shop with honey and kitchenwares.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute restaurant and nice staff. Abuelas chocolate was good, especially on a cold night. The vegan bowl was bland and the tamale was incredibly dry. The inside of the tamale was good, but you had to scrape the corn out because the outside is inedible.

The tamale was very dry. The dish of the day was half cold and the description of the waiter was completely inaccurate: chicken instead of pork, no tomato... The hot chocolate very watery.
I came here because of the Lonely Planet (2019) recommendation. Do not make the same mistake ! Obviously things have changed.
Closed on Monday, please change the opening hours on Google...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good restaurant to try some tamales. They also serve a very good guacamole and decent portions of horchata. The tamales itself were a bit bland. Adding some spices to the dough would help. They did provide some sauces on the side that upgraded the overall taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First restaurant we tried in Valladolid, and it met and exceeded all our expectations. The food was delicious. I had the soup of the day, a mix of chicken, pork and cheese with nachos, an absolute dream. The drinks were delicious, mainly the Chaya drink. Mind you, they don't serve any alcohol. Prices were pretty decent. We paid about 700 pesos for 4 people.
