★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive food mediocre taste. Not really into the food I ordered, the bread that came with my pasta was soggy like it was out a good hour before. The pasta itself was meh at best it had a strange bitter taste to it. The only thing that was good was the tortilla soup

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for dinner. I honestly don’t get the hype. The food is disappointingly worse than mediocre!!
I had the filette relleno 250 MXN.
It was Overcooked and oversalted pieces of fish and tiny little shrimp wrapped with White American cheese, served with a half cup of overcooked white rice, and couple of slices of tomato, avocado and some onions.
It’s a lively place, good for local people watching, but if you’re going there for The quality and/or taste of food, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Looks pretty old and that’s because it is!!! However, I think it’s part of its charming. Things you have to try:
1. Lechero- Coffee from Veracruz with milk, don’t miss the preparation!!
2. Bomba- Do you like sweet and salty combination? You can’t miss this!!
3. Caldo La Parroquia- Really TASTY!! Eggs, cheese, turkey and vegetables are just some of its ingredients!
Try to go in the morning or at night since they best dishes are for this eating times... leave your comments about your experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been there 3 times and each time the service is poor. It's as though you're bothering the waiters by placing an order. The food is also poor. I imagine people continue to go there because of the tradition, but i assure you it's not the food or the service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely overrated, the traditional "cafe lechero" is nothing special, their brand is not the best from Veracruz either. The place has some history and that's it. You can find better cafes in Veracruz dont fall into marketing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You should go to La Parroquia..they have the best coffee..i recomend Cafe El Lechero...they put a quarter of coffee on your glass and add the rest of milk.
This coffee it is full of aromatic flavor.
