★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Pausa is a nice little hostel in Puerto Morelos (a beautiful, town on the side of the ocean). If you want to chill, this is the place for you. Owned and run by a young couple of "former" travellers, this is a hostel which is very accommodating and warm. They understand the way of life of the backpacker. On a few occasions, I was invited to join them either for dinner or a drink. There are a few rooms and a small dormatory. The outdoor and indoor common space makes it easy to strike up a conversations with fellow travellers. The center of Puerto Morelos is about a 2 minute walk, so very central. I would go back here, in a second if I was to return to Yucatan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best hostel where I ve been. Eli and Seba are very warm and welcoming people, you'll feel like home at La Pausa :) Last but not least, this hostel is very well located and they have good offers for any tours or trip in Puerto Morelos

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is so calming and relaxing. We had the best stay ever. Elisa and Seba are incredible hosts, providing excellent advice to explore the area. I recommend to book a tour with Elisa for the Cenotes and to go see the turtles. She sure knows how to share her love for this incredible nature. I'll come again!

Elisa and Sebastian are great hosts.
We had such a good time with them.
Communication was easy and we got great local tips.
We slept in our car in front of their house and we had an access to the kitchen, bathroom and we could use their wifi.

I enjoyed my stay in La Pausa a lot. It doesn’t feel like staying in a hostel. It feels like visiting friends or your family. Elisa and Seba are so friendly and helpful. We went out to the beach or for dinner in the evening together. It was hard to leave this place.
