★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their bread is really good. We had some sandwiches, enchilada, empanadas and croissants with a few smoothies and coffees. It was all pretty delicious and all came in without delays. Maybe I’m spoiled (and also worked as a waiter for all my student years) but I feel like waiters here in Tulum don’t really try to be engaging apart from taking your orders and serving your food. We kind of want a little chit chat, and more human warmth :) (and Im a native Spanish speaker so it wasn’t language barrier) We North-Americans would happily pay more than 20% tips if we felt a connection with the waiters. Just a thought!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i am in love with this place! my partner and i came here several times while staying in tulum. we tried many different things on the menu including chilaquiles, mollette, avocado toast, special omelet, and both kinds of the fruit bowls. we absolutely loved everything we tried. the coffee was excellent (and we are picky about coffee)! service was great every time, they all seemed very professional and helpful. the inside was so cute and bathroom very clean. we sat on the side outdoor patio most of the time and it was super cute, cool, and comfortable seating. overall only positive experiences here, would absolutely recommend stopping by here if staying in downtown tulum!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is so good! My husband and I ate here most mornings for breakfast on our trip. The food is great and I loved their iced lattes. The service was always good too and the environment was lovely. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was one day I ordered an iced Matcha and it looked like they had just added green food dye to milk. It tasted like that too. I normally love matcha but this tasted nothing like matcha.

Don’t even get me started on the pastries… I dream of them, it’s that good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Pebeta in La Veleta ( that rhymes! ) is a very popular Argentinian cafe/ restaurant on Calle 7. They bake their own bread, so make sure you ask for a selection as they fresh and delicious. Pet friendly. They have opened up a covered garden section at the side which accommodates a lot more clients which has made a big difference, as there used to be a waiting time to get in. Friendly staff. Medium prices. Two parking spaces at the side. Please note that the bill includes a 10% tip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to have breakfast. Good coffee, good variety of juices. Only my orange juice was a cheap one our of a bottle. Fruit platter was very good, and also our Omelette with avocado and goat cheese. Just a little too much greens on the plate ?
