Great place to stay. Wonderful neighbors, clean restrooms and great private beach

Such a cute place right on the beach.

This time year, they are full. They can handle quite few RV's. License plates from many places around Canada mostly. A few vehicles are year round as the lot number is permanent in which ever unit.

Friendly place to stay, really makes you feel at home. There are activities if you choose to participate, good food, and friendly staff. The more that the people who are staying here give, the more that everyone benefits as most activities are resident driven.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We stayed less that 24hrs, not for 2 weeks. This place is hyped up for what it really is. First off the drive down Hwy 200 is a nightmare even in the day. I can't think what it would be like a night. The park is difficult to get into first off, the road is so bad that you think you might tip over. The rv spots are difficult to get into with large boulders that could take out your undercarriage if your not careful. Even an experienced driver would find it difficult and we have no problem navigating small Mexican streets in our 40ft class A. There were so many people and tents there and it's covid. I can't imagine what it would be like during a regular season. You almost feel like your in a tent city rather than an RV park. They also charge way too much money for what it is worth. $25.00 USD a day when it really should be about $12.50.USD. If your looking for a tranquil place find some other place. Not this one is defiantly not it. The pictures on google maps must be from 10 years ago because it certainly does not look like that anymore.

Great location,close to the beach and the sites are well set up. The bathroom was cleaned regularly, and in good shape. The only negative is that roads could use some maintenance.

Our family is having a wonderful time here at La Peñita RV park. There's such a sweet spirit here. Everyone is so kind, there are many, many planned activities to choose from, the food is GREAT, and our children have a lot of friends to play with here. I love that it is right on the beach. It is fun watching the whales right from the shore. And the staff are super helpful!

Very nice place to camp, they only open from November to March and we got here first day of November. They didn’t expect people so soon so many of the amenities weren’t ready but after a couple of days everything was in order. They have a big pool, a reasonable priced restaurant for breakfast and snaks, and access to a beautiful beach that normally there’s no one around. They let us set our tent in an RV spot so we had shade, electricity, a sink and good personal space. The owners are Canadian and also most of the people staying here are part of this extremely friendly community. Probably late November is the best time to arrive.
