I checked in on 8 of July in the late evening and there was noise from the other place next to my room. Next day in the morning there was no electricity, so I was waiting if the hotel do something, after sunset they put 1 candle so you can go to the room in the completely darkness. We found another hotel and ask hotel Posada del Sol to refund my money. They agreed. So I canceled reservation on booking.com and then hotel declined to refund my money! It is completely scandalous I lost my $1000!!! Water in the hotel is completely salty, no electricity and noisy build works next to my room.

This is of course a boutique hotel but it is not comfortable to stay in. Pros: right on the beach, free small breakfast, aesthetically appealing, the front desk lady was very kind and helpful (I’m not sure what other reviewers are talking about rude staff?) You can purchase A/C for $10 a day if you want it during daylight. it worked just fine. They clean your room every day, and sweep away the sand you have brought in. No fridge, but you can ask for a cooler from the front desk. Cons: salty water from sink and shower (but that is all tulum). The Room we had was a 2 bedroom. One bed on first floor with open toilet area, second bed on second floor. Honestly not much room at all In the hotel. But if you are just there to sleep it is okay. HUGE con: the lighting is terrible. They have about 2 dim lights on the main floor. You can barely see anything. Overall, I enjoyed the stay but I would not stay again due to comfortability. I believe the more expensive suit would be worth it if you want to spend more and be more comfortable.

Friendly staff and right on the beach. Rooms were really cool. I was doing some work in the area and it was a nice spot to unwind

Don't ever choose and stay in this hotel because they will try all kinds of ways to trap you for more money. They are very dishonest and lack communication on how they would charge your stay and your final bill will show an amount much bigger than the price you've agreed on when reserving from any website. Worst and most deceitful hotel ever! Obviously you could tell how rude they are from their responses to prior reviews!

Nice hotel with a cool shop in the front where I got some unique handmade jewelry. Clean rooms and its on the beach near the beginning of the hotel zone so you don't have to deal with the crazy traffic. Lots of shops nearby to buy drinks etc. Would book again

Amazing property!! This is not for those that are looking for an all-inclusive hotel. It is for people looking to adventure out to find a new delicious restaurant or bar. Located in an area with plenty of activities and shops. Bike and quad rental company right next door if you looking to explore more. Beach was quiet and for the most part private. Stayed in October and the weather was perfect, not to hot and the sun was shining for the whole week. The Titanic room with the ocean view was beyond my expectations. Perfect view and sounds of the ocean waves all night long. Will definitely be recommending and coming back for another vacation. Great pricing for a hotel on the beach.

Waste of money!!! Dark and very outdated rooms. only a few car parking which was always taken and there was no parking on the street. Toilet was flooded since day one, never attempted to fix the problem, they just cleaned it up and next morning we had the same issue. No closet in the room, no TV, no iron, no blow dryer, no mini fridge. AC was turned off during the day, when it was 37 degrees outside. So we were allowed to use AC only at night. Our reservation included breakfast, but on the second morning we found out it was limited to a cup of coffee and fruit bowl, everything else we had to pay for, which would be ok if they had told us from the beginning, and they charged almost $20 USD for a toast and an egg. On top of everything they "demanded " tips. But then again, everybody, from the moment we landed in Cancun, from the car rental staff to hotel and restaurants, they all demanded for tips so this seemed to be a habit.
