★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice small ruins of the local ancient people in the Zacatecas region. A lil moderate hike so take a hat, sun block and water for sure. The view is great ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great site to visit close to the city of Zacatecas. The information boards are in English and Spanish which is super helpful, and the ruins on site are very interesting. I would recommend arriving early in the morning to beat the heat of the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing !! I didn't think it was so huge. You need at least 1,5h to see it all, as you can climb the main pyramid, and then go around, to see the other side of the site. There's good explanations on site, but I would add a little internet research to it.
I took the bus from Zacatecas from a micro bus station (cf picture), it takes 45minutes for 45pesos. The bus will leave you at around 2km from the archeological site, so you have to walk like 20minutes to get there. Take water (lots of it) with you and lots of sun cream ! On the way back, same thing. Buses are coming every 30mins on average

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very interesting place with lots of archeological wonders. Nice roads getting here and a friendly staff. The place has a museum and restroom facilities. Just be prepared to walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice site and my visit was a weekday and there were only a small handful of other visitors. Pretty much had the place to ourselves. The access provided is far more than expected. The only worker i saw was the nice man at the gate collecting the entrance fee.
Take your time and watch your step as some areas are steep and many have loose footing. Also might consider bringing your own toilet paper and as other have mentioned also bring water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing archeological site constructed between 300 and 1100 CE, literally into the side of a mountain. It is far quieter than some similar sites but both the ruins and surrounding scenery are spectacular.
We took advantage of the free guide and gave him a generous tip for his excellent services, which were in Spanish. I'm not sure if he or the other guides provide services in English or other languages.
The site is big and has many steps and steep tracks to climb, so it's perhaps of limited interest to those with mobility issues, though it might be possible to explore around the lower section at the foot of the mountain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an Anient (MesoAmerican) Ruins with an onsite archeological museum. This was an emotional journey for me! The museum is very nice..the guides explained everything(in spanish) so brush up! I had a woderful time. Please take the time to visit!
