Stayed here at RRR and was not impressed . Most of the Airbnb rentals have no natural daylight basically the room is facing a wall(14"from the wall) and they just painted a view . The room is very dark and humid .

It’s quite a nice place. Pool is dirty however, they can put more of an effort into keeping it clean. Wouldn’t swim in it

Paid 3× the price of any other Airbnb in Mexico and disappointed with the staff and amenities - Wifi: it was so bad that I had to switch to mobile network, at times it was 3 Mbps (attached pic) - I am working from Mexico so having good connection was a MUST. - cleanness: when we arrived, we saw black big spots on the towels and when chatted with business, they insisted that they are clean even I was looking at the black spots and sent them multiple pictures !! It was so annoying to be told "I am pretty sure they are clean" as if I will be lying?!? They did not bring fresh towels - washer drain: it takes 5 minutes for the water to go down the drain everytime - rooftop pool: just medium clean - rooms: in general, gloomy with bad lighting. Also there is no electricity sucket in the living room to use it for work station with your laptop. I would not book here as this is clearly tourist trap with their pictures

It's like prison! VERY VERY DARK in our room, animals like a lot mosqitos, spins and other things.. we can't sleep there!! The manager is very unfriendly, the first day it's not here, she had a day off.. no one was here for us.. another person help us.. For this price you find better places and much more friendlier personal!! Never come back again!

If you are vacationing, this is a wonderful place to stay and I recommend it! More details below. If you are planning to work remote, I do not recommend this location as unfortunately the internet is not good enough for Zoom calls (even with the video off- the audio still disconnects frequently). We had to work from noisy cafes instead, which was not ideal when you're trying to discuss important topics with your boss ? The property: The complex is beautiful, gorgeous wood interior with lots of art and lovely attention to detail. We stayed in apartment 112 which I would highly recommend, it has a balcony that looks out over Calle 38 but has lots of trees out front so it feels private and natual. We stayed in late March 2022 and the next door apartment was under renovation, but it seemed like they were almost done with it by the time we left. Some other reviews have mentioned issues with humidity, our AC and airflow worked great. The bed was hard but not terrible. The pool area on the roof is lovely, although the pools themselves could have been cleaner. Vacasa management: Vacasa was very communicative and easy to get ahold of. There is a desk agent down below during daytime hours, and email responses were very quick. We had a noise complaint for construction next door and the property manager offered us a small refund, which to my surprise was back on my card very quickly. We had some internet issues that they put honest effort into trying to troubleshoot, but need a professional to fix/optimize how their wireless was broadcasting issues (note for management: all 3 networks are braodcasting on channel 11, they need to be moved to different channels so as not to interfere with each other). The area: Calle 38 is lovely, it was our favorite street in Playa del Carmen, very natural with big shaded trees and several cenotes down the street. Very diverse groups of folks from families to young couples, folks vacationing from all over the world (including mexico!). The vibe of this area is lovely and calm, not a party scene. Beach: The beach directly down from Calle 38 is not very good. It is small and crowded, and smelled strongly of sewage all 5 days we were there, we're not sure if it was a sewage leak or issue with seaweed decomposing. HOWEVER there is a much better beach north just 5 minutes walk away, I've included a map of how to get there in this review, you need to walk past the guard gate at The Reef Hotel, keep walking straight until you get to a cargo unloading area, and the trail to the beach is to the left of that. They will not let you enter the Reef property but that trail seems to be allowed. Food: Playa is not a great place for high quality food, you'll find plenty of 'fine' places but few that would keep you coming back. That being said, the cocktails next door at La Cueva are pretty good ($120 MX). The best restaurant we found was just down the street, Luma Taverna. We went back 3 times and whenever we ate elsewhere we asked 'why didn't we just go to Luma' ? try their Mezcalita it's excellent. The restaurant Primo is also quite good. Alright that's it! Hope this helps ?

This is okay for short stays only. I was here for 2 weeks and - other than the location and beautiful rooftop - it’s pretty poor. It’s dirty. The drains stink. The service from Vacasa is sub-standard. They do not employ enough cleaning staff (told it’s a 4 day wait for maid service due to Xmas but they are happy to charge triple rates on rental price). The rooms look great in photos but in fact are very gloomy. Many better options in the area.
